A Nightmare on Elm Street star Robert Englund will appear on the Dec. 10 episode of Supernatural, Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reports. That's after he pops in on Monday's Halloween-themed episode of Chuck. Boy, that Freddy Krueger sure gets around.

On Supernatural, Englund will "Dr. Robert," the person hunters turn to when they need medical attention but can't simply waltz into an emergency room. “Robert plays an unlicensed doc who makes his living stitching folks up on the down low," executive producer Sera Gamble tells Ausiello. "One of our guys goes to him with a life-or-death problem.”

Meanwhile, The CW has released previews and photos from this week's episode, "Live Free or Twi-hard," in which Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) struggles with another life-or-death problem: turning into a vampire. Here's the official description:

After a group of young girls go missing, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) realize that a group of vampires have taken up residence in the small town. After a fight with two of the blood-suckers, Dean is bitten and turns into a vampire. Samuel (guest star Mitch Pileggi) tells Dean he can change him back but he’d have to get the blood of the vampire who turned him. Dean infiltrates the nest and runs into the Alpha.

Supernatural airs Friday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
