Warner Bros. has debuted the first trailer and poster for director David Dobkin's The Judge, which stars Robert Downey Jr. as an attorney who returns home to defend his estranged father, the town judge portrayed by Robert Duvall, who's on trial for murder.

Opening Oct. 10, the film also stars Vincent D'Onofrio, Vera Farmiga, Billy Bob Thornton, Dax Shepard and Melissa Leo and Leighton Meester.
