To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Extreme Studios, Rob Liefeld is organizing a reunion to take place at Big Red Comics in Orange, California. The event is scheduled for March 30 and will include a signing and a special limited edition program.

Joining Liefeld will be 13 former artists and writers at Extreme Studios, including artists Jeff Matsuda, Dan Fraga, Andy Park, Shannon Eric Denton, Chap Yaep, Todd Nauck, Marat Mychaels, Norm Rapmund, Art Thibert, Danny Miki, Matt Hawkins, Dan Panosian and Karl Altstaetter.

"I am beyond thrilled to be working together with these amazing artists as well as reuniting with them back together after 25 years,” Liefeld said. “I was fortunate to see the unique potential in each of these artists when they were just starting out and give many of them their very first, or their biggest break in the comics industry. Watching them build their impressive resumes over the years and help shape the entertainment industry for the past two decades has been one of the highlights of my 30 year career."

Liefeld recently inked a reportedly seven figure payday for the rights to a number of his Extreme Universe characters, including Brigade, Bloodstrike, Cybrid, Lethal, Re-Gex, Bloodwulf, Battlestone, Baboom and Nitro-Gen. Noticeably absent from the line-up are some of the creator's better known comic creations, including Youngblood, Glory and Supreme; it would appear that they are not included in the Extreme deal, which involves "9 comic book titles and nearly 100 characters."
