The March 3 episode of the CW network’s “Riverdale” will see Josie don her iconic costume for the high school’s ever-encroaching variety show. The leopard print costume is reminiscent of the band’s signature look that was established in 1963 with the first run of “Josie and the Pussycats” comic books.

The CW has released an episode synopsis and on-set still teasing the costume reveal, showing “Pussycats” band lead Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray) practicing in front of a microphone, arms in the air, seemingly compelling the audience to action.

“Riverdale’s” sixth episode, “Chapter Six: Faster, Pussycats! Kill! Kill!,” will focus on Archie Andrew’s (K.J. Apa) preparation for the upcoming variety show, but “Pussycats” band member Valerie Brown’s (Hayley Law) insistence on helping Archie will put her at odds with Josie. Josie will deal with her own problems when her clingy dad returns for her performance.

Meanwhile, there’s a murder to solve. Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) will investigate a home for troubled youth while looking for clues about the death of former classmate, Jason Blossom. In their travels, they will meet Polly (Tiera Skovbye). In the original run of Archie Comics, Polly Cooper was the older sister of Betty Cooper, a San Francisco-based television reporter and confidant to her younger sister.
