Josie & the Pussycats will bring all the boys to the yard tonight in a performance of Kelis’ “Milkshake.” A sneak peek at the song, performed atop Pop’s Chok’lit Shoppe, reveals a down-tempo version of the otherwise raunchy melody about how Kelis’ milkshake is better than yours. That’s right – yours.

In Riverdale, the impromptu performance is triggered by a steep decline in patronage at Pop’s Chok’lit Shoppe after Fred Andrews was shot in the diner at the end of Season 1. Betty (Lili Reinhart) is determined to keep the diner, a down staple, from going under, so she enlists the help of Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) with a threat – naturally. Cheryl agrees to perform with Josie & the Pussycats, as the band is down a member, which leads to the performance above.

This isn’t the first time Josie & the Pussycats have performed on Riverdale. The band, based on the comic book series by the same name that debuted in 1963, have also performed songs like “Candy Girl (Sugar Sugar)” by Inner Circle featuring Flo Rida, “I Feel Love” by Donna Summer and “Kids in America” by Kim Wilde, along with a few songs penned specifically for the series.

Airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CW, Riverdale stars K.J. Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy and Casey Cott as Kevin Keller.
