According to Deadline, actress Brit Morgan has joined Riverdale's sophomore season in a recurring role as Penny Peabody, aka “The Snake Charmer"; she'll play a lawyer on retainer with the Southside Serpents. The big catch? Rather than having her clients pay in money, Peabody expects favors in return for her services, something Jughead (Cole Sprouse) is set to learn when he seeks her assistance to help his father. As of right now, it's unknown how many episodes Morgan will appear in, and just when her character will make her debut.

Morgan is no stranger to the CW, having played the villain Livewire on Supergirl in a handful of episodes. Prior to her stint as Livewire on that series, though, Morgan starred in Graceland and True Blood, and has appeared in films such as Friend Request and Freeloaders.
