The latest "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" poster puts Rey (Daisy Ridley) and BB-8 front and center as they traverse the deserts of Jakku, Rey's home planet. The poster, which heralds the film's arrival in IMAX 3D this December, debuted on the official "Star Wars" Twitter account.

Directed by J.J. Abrams, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” also stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, John Boyega, Adam Driver,  Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max Von Sydow. The film opens Dec. 18 in North America.
