Reports of The Hateful Eight's death seem to have been exaggerated. Quentin Tarantino wanted to kill the film after the script leaked earlier this year, but after an ensuing lawsuit and a successful live reading, he seems to have changed his mind.

Showbiz 411 now reports that, not only is the Western going into production, but it will do so starting in November. As if that wasn't enough to get Tarantino fans excited, the cast has supposedly been assembled and consists of some Tarantino regulars as well as actors: among them, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, Kurt Russell, James Remar, Zoe Bell, Amber Tamblyn and Walton Goggins.

The site also states that some of the shooting will take place in Wyoming, which provided many of the locations for Django Unchained.

Just the other day at Cannes, the director noted that he wasn't in any hurry to make the film and still wanted to finish the second draft and then do a third.
