The "Han Solo" movie is reportedly casting a young version of Lando Calrissian -- the fan-favorite pilot and Baron administrator of Cloud City -- to star opposite Alden Ehrenreich's youthful Han Solo.

According to TheWrap, Lando's code name in casting circles is "Chance"; which they suggest could be a reference to the character's past as a gambler. The casting for the role has yet to be announced.

Lando's presence in the "Han Solo" film would mark the character's first appearance in live-action since 1983's "Return of the Jedi," since original Lando actor Billy Dee Williams ("Batman") didn't reprise the role for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Williams voiced the character for two episodes of "Star Wars Rebels": "Idiot’s Array" & "Siege of Lothal."

Directed by "The LEGO Movie" and "22 Jump Street's" Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the "Han Solo" Star Wars anthology film is slated for a May 25, 2018 release.
