UPDATE 1/7/2016: Netflix and Marvel have debuted a new teaser trailer and officially announced a premiere date of March 18, 2016, not the rumored date of March 25.

The Marvel vs. DC war may be waged on live-action platforms this spring. According to an unconfirmed report published earlier today by ComicBook.com, Marvel Television's "Daredevil" season two will debut March 25 on Netflix -- the same day as the theatrical release date of Warner Bros.' DC Comics-based "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." When reached by CBR News, Marvel TV declined comment, and Netflix stated that a release date hasn't yet been announced, only confirming that the new season will premiere at some point in March.

If the March 25 "Daredevil" date happens, it won't be the first time "Batman v Superman" has been involved in potential competition with Marvel fare. Originally, the film was to open against Marvel Studios' "Captain America: Civil War" on May 6, before being shifted a few weeks earlier, to March 25.
