Those revived Nickelodeon shows of the '90s may be coming faster and more focused than anyone expected.

A new report by The Tracking Board claims that rather than relaunch some of its classic cartoon properties with new TV shows, the network will instead combine the likes of Rugrats and Angry Beavers into one shared universe-style film called Nicktoons.

The article compares the film plan both to Marvel Studios Avengers universe and Warner Bros. recent self-referential The LEGO Movie. The Nicktoons project will be produced by Mary Parent and Cale Boyter's Disruption Entertainment, which signed an overall deal with Nick corporate sibling Paramount earlier this year. Parent also recently produced the hit Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water under the Nickelodeon Movies shingle.

Beyond that, details are currently scarce. It's reported that all the rights for the various '90s Nicktoons are not yet cleared as the network doesn't own all of them outright.
