Speaking of Reynolds and his busy film schedule, Pietro Filipponi, now at the Daily BLAM! has a description of Hal’s Green Lantern costume. “When the suit, which is created out of a ‘hard light’ construct from the power ring, is in its solid form, the mask, boots, shoulders, chest, abdomen and back are a distinct, rich green, while the arms, legs and waist areas are a deep black,” he writes. “The suit has definitive lines which segregate the green and black colors … The glowing, green textured lines which encompass the suit fluctuate in intensity as Jordan gains more control over the power ring, which channels his willpower. The more focus he has, the less it ‘bleeds’ energy.” He has an illustration based on the description and says the first trailer for the film will be attached to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1.”
Starring Ryan Reynolds, release date: June 17th, 2011
SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK
The L Magazine (via MTV News) has a look at Norman Osborne’s lab from the musical … well, it’s a scale model. Though L Magazine mentions the photo came from the show’s press rep site, it has become impossible to source it there. Meanwhile, here’s the photo of the mock-up:

Kenneth Branagh talks tone with Film School Rejects. “Tone was always a key issue. Key people early on… obviously the production designer Bo Welch and the Academy Award-winning costume designer Alexandra Byrne was also someone trying to be inspired by the comic book, but also seek it as being as imaginative about it [as possible] and [to] present textures and elements. You know, when people travel through space they live in a world with gods,” says the director. “You want to try to be pure and classical with it, but bring a new twist.”
Starring Chris Hemsworth, release date: May 6th, 2011
Brendon Connelly at Bleeding Cool has a round-up of rumors surronding Hilary Duff reading for Spidey’s love interest. “It is possible that scripts are going out to potential cast with the character identified only as Girl. Or, on the other hand, Duff might be reading for a smaller part. One so small she won’t even get a name,” he writes. As it stands, we still don’t know which of Peter Parker’s loves will appear in the reboot.
Release date: May 28th, 2012
Michael Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly has learned Aquaman is returning to the show for the ninth episode of the final season. “Sources confirm to me exclusively that Alan Ritchson has signed on to reprise his role as Arthur “AC” Curry (a.k.a. Aquaman) during November sweeps,” writes Ausiello. I’m not going to succumb to a puntastic joke about Aquaman or even slam the character for years of misuse at the hands of the Super Friends. Not me, buster. I respect the King of the Seas too much for that.
Returns: September 24th, 2010
