This morning, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced its nominees for the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards, and among the picks for the "Best MotionPicture: Comedy Or Musical" category was Summit Entertainment's adaptation of the DC WildStorm comic "Red." A full list of nominess can be found on the Globes website.

Adapted from Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner's 2003 mini series, the film marked the end of an era in many ways for DC as it was the only major movie to be based on a Wildstorm comic before the imprint was shut down earlier this year, and it was the passion project of former DC SVP of Creative Development Gregory Novek, who stepped down in August.

Also nominated in the category are Disney's "Alice In Wonderland," Focus Feature's "The Kids Are All Right," and Sony's "Burlesque" and "The Tourist." This news comes hand-in-hand with a nomination in the "Best Drama" TV category form comics adaptation "The Walking Dead."

The winners will be announced January 16 on NBC at 8:00 PM EST/5:00 PM PST. For more info, go to the award show's official website. And for all the news on "The Walking Dead" stay tuned to CBR and Spinoff Online.
