Ahead of the much-anticipated release of the "Power Rangers" film trailer, expected to premiere at the upcoming 2016 New York Comic Con, Saban Brands has teased the first image of Ranger weaponry from the movie – the Red Ranger's Power Sword.

With its stylish red safety guard the sword looks oddly reminiscent of the some of the Covenant weaponry from the "Halo" series of video games. Take a look below:

In addition to the trailer, "Power Rangers" fans attending the con will no-doubt be excited to bag themselves the NYCC-exclusive Legacy Collection Movie Red Ranger. Only 1,000 copies of this limited edition figure have been produced, so if you are going to the con and want one, you should head straight to the Bandai America booth, #1628, to avoid disappointment.

Directed by Dean Israelite, written by “X-Men: First Class” scribes Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller, and starring Elizabeth Banks, Ludi Lin, Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, Becky G and RJ Cyler, among others, “Power Rangers” hits theaters on March 24, 2017.
