SPOILER WARNING: The following article and video both contain spoilers for "The Flash" season two.

In "The Flash" television series, plot details can get a bit jumbled as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) casually breaks the time barrier and travels to alternate universes. Specifically in its second season, the story leans on doubles (often evil ones) of the main cast and supporting characters that were introduced throughout the season, such as Caitlin Snow's Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco Ramon's Reverb (Carlos Valdes), and the return of Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh).

Just in time for the 3rd season premiere on Oct. 4, USA Today debuted a two minute super-cut summarizing the major happenings of the previous season.

An additional highlight of Season 2 that's left out of the two-minute summary was an epilogue of sorts that leads into the upcoming season's adaptation of one of DC Comics' most famous recent Flash stories: "Flashpoint". In that story, Barry Allen mistakenly creates an alternate timeline with major character shifts like Thomas Wayne being Batman, Barry's mother Nora still being alive and Captain Cold being Central City's greatest hero.

"The Flash" returns Tuesday, Oct. 4 on The CW for its third season premiere.
