While the recent additions of Doomsday, Sinestro and Hawkgirl to NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment weren't much of a surprise, it's likely the newest member to join the DC Comics fight club will be. The New Teen Titans' Raven is the latest character to get the "Injustice" treatment, and she's bringing her dark side to the fighting game.

GameTrailers posted a video of Raven facing off against Catwoman, and the character design is clearly modeled more after Dark Raven than her first appearance in "The New Teen Titans." The influence of her father, the interdimensional demon lord Trigon, can clearly be seen when Raven is powered up, as she exhibits six glowing eyes. Her finishing move transports her opponent to a dimensional void, where Trigon is summoned to wreak havoc on Raven's enemies.

Injustice: Gods Among Us

The darker take on Raven is definitely in step with the tone of "Injustice," though it's unknown how she fits into the story. The events leading up to "Injustice" see Superman enacting a new world order over the Earth that causes heroes and villains alike to rise up and fight against each other.

"Injustice: Gods Among Us" releases April 16 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
