The skies over San Diego may be somewhat crowded this weekend, and not just because of all the folks flying in for the con. Everyone's favorite World War I flying ace is being joined by R2-D2, courtesy of Flyguy Promotions.
Like the Snoopy one we featured earlier this week, R2-D2 is a remote controlled quadcopter created by Otto Dieffenbach. You can see more of his company's creations on their website.
"Thought I'd add another iPhone video of flight tests on R2 as we approach Comic-Con," Dieffenbach said on YouTube. "He is a very solid performer with no bad habits." That does sound like R2-D2, though C3PO may disagree with the "no bad habits" part.
