How Well Do You Know The Justice League?
The debut of the Justice League of America in March 1960’s “The Brave and the Bold” #28 stands as one of the seminal moments of comics’ Silver Age. The brainchild of legendary writer Gardner Fox, the League continued the legacy of DC’s first superhero team the Justice Society of America, assembling the publisher’s most popular characters to combat threats they couldn’t hope to defeat individually. The original roster included seven founders, including DC’s “trinity” of Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman, as well as stalwart DC heroes the Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, the Flash and Green Lantern. Although the team’s origin and line-up has changed several times over the years, the League has remained the DC Universe’s first and best line of defense against evil in all of its myriad forms.
As the DC Universe drives ever onward with its most recent “Rebirth,” the League has once again found itself at the vanguard of dramatic change, with Batman recruiting a new team of down-to-earth heroes that includes a number of fresh faces, a pair of former villains and a core of capable veterans. As always, the JLA leads the charge into an uncertain yet exciting future, so we thought it was the perfect time to revisit the past and ask the question, “How well do you know the Justice League?” Take our quiz to find out!
