‘PvP’ auction to raise money for CBLDF

Official Press Release

Hot on the heels of the Joe Quesada Lunch auction which closed for
$405, Texas native Scott Kurtz, creator of PvP, is using the opening
day of WizardWorld Texas to announce a brand new fundraising auction
for the CBLDF.

Starting now and running until next Friday, the Fund is offering the
original cover painting for PvP #6 by the inimitable James Kochalka.

PvP #6 collects “Graphamaximo,” Kurtz’s satire of the alternative
comics scene. The cover is a beautifully executed painting by
Kochalka, one of today’s most popular and prolific indy cartoonists.

Kurtz explains, “James insisted that we donate the cover to the
CBLDF. It was hard to let go because it’s such a beautiful piece, but
James brought me to my senses. I live one hour away from where Jesus
Castillo sold an adult book to an adult and was arrested for it. We
need the CBLDF now more than ever. It’s insane what’s passing for
justice these days. It would be terrifying to have to defend yourself
against such lunacy without any support.”

PvP #6 is in this month’s Previews. The auction is online at
