Following last night's Rogue-filled return episode of "The Flash," the CW has started teasing next week's installment. The first spot for "The Sound and the Fury" puts Andy Mientus' Pied Piper front and center. The clip starts off with a quip from a handcuffed Hartley Rathaway ("Being scooped up by a guy in head to toe leather is a long time fantasy of mine, so thanks.") and then follows the character through his transformation into the sound manipulating Pied Piper. The footage also teases that Rathaway has a score to settle with Barry Allen's mentor, Harrison Wells. You can check out the promo below.

Pied Piper first appeared way back in 1959's "Flash" #106, which makes him a longtime foe and, thanks to a post-"Crisis on Infinite Earths" retcon, one of the oldest gay characters in mainstream comics. Mientus, who himself is openly bisexual, was cast in the role last October. He previously talked to Variety about the pressure of playing one of the few gay comic book characters to make it into a live-action adaptation.

"With the gay thing, I feel like I'm representing a whole community," said Mientus. "People are excited to see this character, so it is a lot of pressure. But I'm glad they are introducing the character to the show. It's a huge step forward, and I'm thrilled to help make that happen. It's awesome."

"The Flash" airs Tuesdays on the CW.
