Markosia has announced the creative team on the third Starship Troopers mini series, entitled “Damaged Justice”, which ships into retail stores in November 2006.
Written by Tony Lee, the art team features the talents of Shanth Enjeti (Pencils), Jimmy Reyes (inks) and Wes Hartman (colors).
Enjeti, no stranger to the comics industry, was approached by Markosia in the summer of 2006 to do the four issue mini series. He is also the creator of the highly successful self-published Springball comic series which was released in 2002/3. As well as comic book creator Shanth is a full time educator of illustration and sequential art and teaches at both the Rhode Island School of Design and Montserrat College of Art.
The first issue will feature three covers (A, B and C) drawn by Enjeti. These three covers will make up the special limited gatefold cover (E), produced as an incentive for retailers who order 25 or more copies of regular covers. This ” *ultra*” edition – of which only a few hundred copies will be produced – will ship the same week as the regular covers and sent *free* to retailers who qualify for the incentive. Markosia will honor any re-orders placed via Diamond Comics for issue one of Damaged Justice up until the 31st October.
Enjeti’s art has been best compared to the likes of Todd Mcfarlane and Greg Capullo and as you can see by these preview pages, the critics are not far wrong.
