Predators screenwriter Michael Finch will take a stab at Deus Ex, the CBS Films adaptation of Square Enix's vide0-game franchise.

Scott Derrickson, who was attached to direct before he moved on to Marvel's Doctor Strange, penned an earlier draft with his Sinister co-writer Robert Cargill.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is based largely on 2011′s Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which delves into the mythology of the franchise. It focuses on security specialist Adam Jensen, who undergoes mechanical augmentation to help uncover a global conspiracy.

Finch knows a little about video-game adaptations, having written the upcoming Hitman: Agent 47.
