PREACHER 2

You’re not cracking up — despite the fact that there’s no first film in theatres or at home, director Sam Mendes told MTV’s Splash Page that he believes there’s more movies behind that one thanks to screenwriter John August.  “He’s about halfway through,” Mendes said. “There’s a long way to go yet, but I’m very, very hopeful. I think it could be amazing.  You have to try and get one really good and then, if you’re lucky, you can make a second or a third.  You can create something that’s going to run. But I think that there’s certainly more than enough for one good movie and plenty left over.”

No release date announced.

Starring Brandon Routh, release date: 2010.

WAKE THE DEAD

Creator Steve Niles told MTV that his movie’s stuck in line behind “The Hobbit.”  “That one’s kind of at a standstill for now,” Niles said.  “We just didn’t manage to get it set up as much as I had hoped.”
