In partnership with Qualcomm Snapdragon, the app promises to have Zordon, Alpha 5 and, of course, some Zords rising after a nice 65 million-year nap. The app will also feature innovative "six degrees of freedom," meaning players with the new Snapdragon VR set will have full positional tracking without any additional accessories. In terms of merchandising, this is slightly cooler than Putty Patroller action figures.

"Power Rangers Zords Rising" will be available for download March 8 from the Apple App Store, GooglePlay and Gear VR.

A reboot of “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” director Dean Israelite's film follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove — and the world — is on the verge of obliteration by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, they quickly discover they’re the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers.

Opening March 24, "Power Rangers" stars Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, R.J. Cyler as the Blue Ranger, Becky Gomez as the Yellow Ranger, Bryan Cranston as Zordon and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa.
