The robotic beasts -- Mastodon Dinozord, Triceratops Dinozord, Pterodactyl Dinozord, Tyrannosaurus Dinozord and Sabertooth Tiger Dinozord -- loom large in "Power Rangers" lore. Introduced in “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” the 1993-1995 television series that launched the long-running franchise in the United States, they can combine to form the enormous Megazord, which comes in handy when Rita Repulsa calls in Gigantor.

Directed by Dean Israelite, the reboot of the franchise follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove — and the world — is on the verge of obliteration by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, they quickly discover they’re the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers.

Opening March 24, the film stars Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, R.J. Cyler as the Blue Ranger, Becky Gomez as the Yellow Ranger, Bryan Cranston as Zordon and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa.
