The synopsis for Power Rangers #21 reads, "Jason is determined to help a grieving friend find a lost ally, no matter the danger and no matter the cost. However, things aren’t as they seem when the opportunity for an unexpected betrayal arises… leading to the reveal of a NEW RANGER."

BOOM! Studios' run on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers began with Kyle Higgins and Hendry Prasetya in 2016. The franchise is quickly approaching its 100-issue milestone at the publisher. With a duo of ongoing titles -- Mighty Morphin and Power Rangers -- currently being published by BOOM!, the "Charge to 100" event will end with a massive crossover between the two series. "It's absolutely incredible to think that we'll reach 100 issues of our phenomenal Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comics this September," BOOM! Studios editor Dafna Pleban previously said of the event. "When we first launched Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1 in 2016, we knew we had something special in the works so it's truly an honor to celebrate this milestone with all the fans who have supported our stories for the past six years. This milestone event will lead up to one of the most explosive issues of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with even more twists, special appearances, and heartfelt moments than ever before so hold onto your seats as we CHARGE TO 100!"
