Following Edgar Wright’s late-in-the-game departure from Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man” film, the list of potential replacements has reportedly grown by two this week.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel has been meeting with “a wide range of directors” to replace Wright — a list that now includes Peyton Reed and David Wain. TheWrap.com also reported Reed as being the “frontrunner” in Marvel’s search.

Reed’s resume includes the comedies “Yes Man,” “Down with Love” and “The Break-Up.” He’s also directing the adaptation of “The Fifth Beatle,” the graphic novel by Vivek Tiwary, Andrew C. Robinson and Kyle Baker. Wain, meanwhile, has directed “Ant-Man” star Paul Rudd in several other films, including “Wanderlust,” “Role Models” and this summer’s “They Came Together.”

Reed and Wain join a list of rumored potential “Ant-Man” directors that has included Rawson Thurber (“We’re the Millers,” “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story”), Adam McKay (“Anchorman,” “The Other Guys”) and Ruben Fleischer (“Zombieland,” “Gangster Squad”).
