Pokémon secured its place as a powerhouse franchise with the release last year of the blockbuster "Pokémon Go!" mobile game. This 20th Pokémon feature will arrive this summer in Japanese theaters, and with it comes the reveal of a new mythical Pokémon that will also be available in the "Pokémon: Sun and Moon" Gameboy game.

If you aren't familiar with Pokémon lore, a mythical Pokémon is one that exists, but is so rarely seen that it's considered a myth. They cannot be obtained during normal gameplay. The new mythical, dubbed Marshadow, can be see in the new trailer for "Pokémon the Movie 20: I Choose You!" The Pokémon Company is promising to release details soon on how players will also be able to obtain this elusive Pokémon in the "Pokémon: Sun and Moon" games.

The first film in the "Pokémon: Sun and Moon series, "Pokémon the Movie 20: I Choose You!"  coincides  with the 20th anniversary of Pokémon in Japan. The movie is a remake of the original Indigo League saga.

"Pokémon the Movie 20: I Choose You!" is directed by Pokémon veteran Kunhiko Yuyama from screenplay by Shoji Yuyama. Rica Matsumoto will return as the voice of Ash Ketchum (Satoshi in Japan). The film will see release in Japan on July 15. There's no word yet on a U.S. release.
