If you ever wanted to control the man behind some of Marvel's most iconic characters, you're about to get your chance. In a reveal to Addict of Fiction at the London Super Comic Convention, Stan Lee mentioned he would be a playable character in Activision's "Amazing Spider-Man" video game, developed by Beenox and releasing in association with the this summer's film.

"I'm going to be a playable character [in the new "Spider-Man" game] done by Activision," Lee told Addict of Fiction. "I'm going to be a character in that game."

This isn't Lee's first outing in the virtual Marvel Universe. He lent his voice to the non-playble character Senator Stanley in Activision's "Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2," but this is the first time in the history of video games he'll be featured as a playable character. While no other details were revealed about Lee's role in the "Amazing Spider-Man" game, it's possible it could draw from his few in-comic appearances in "What If...?" as a member of the Fantastic Four and "Stan Lee Meets" where he interacts with Spider-Man, The Thing, Doctor Doom, Doctor Strange and the Silver Surfer. Who knows? Maybe his cameo character in Marc Webb's "Amazing Spider-Man" film actually does have powers.

"Amazing Spider-Man" releases June 26, 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC, Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS.
