June 13, 2006, Orlando, FL – Set for August 19-20, 2006 at the Caribe Royale Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, Orlando Con is gearing up to become a must-go destination for fans of all entertainment. Its official web home at www.orlandocon.net offers all the details potential convention goers will need to learn about this exciting new event.
The web site features the con’s latest news, guest list, information for potential exhibitors and dealers, hotel information and rates, a programming schedule, online ticket ordering capabilities and much more. Members of the press who are interested in attending can also learn the criteria for receiving a Press Pass.
“It’s taken us a bit longer than we’d hoped to get this new web site up, but we believe it takes time to make sure it’s done right,” said Orlando Con co-promoter, Sara Murray. “The new site has plenty of information and is a great way for people to learn about our convention. I really hope you’ll stop by and check it out.”
Sponsored by Coliseum of Comics, Bad Apple Comics and A Comic Shop, Orlando Con features over 25,000 square feet of space at the beautiful Caribe Royale Convention Center at the Caribe Royale Resort located one-and-one-half mile from the Walt Disney World theme parks. The convention will feature a wide selection of items including comics, toys, cards, games, anime and more.
Ticket prices for the two day event are:
$10 for a one day pass or $17 for a two day pass when ordered in advance via the web site.
Tickets purchased the day of the show are $12.
Children six years old and under are admitted for Free.
