CBR News has the exclusive first word about the comic, announced today at the ICV2 presentation at New York Comic Con. “Veil,” a 5-issue miniseries featuring art by Toni Fejzula, marks Rucka’s first creator-owned collaboration with Dark Horse, which describes the series as follows:
“A beautiful girl wakes up in an abandoned subway station with no memory of how she got there. When men try to hurt her . . . they wind up dead. Where did she come from? And what is she capable of?”
“‘Veil’s’ a perfect addition to a lineup that includes ‘Buffy,’ Kelly Sue [DeConnick’s] ‘Ghost’ and ‘Serenity’s’ River Tam,” Dark Horse Editor-in-Chief Scott Allie told CBR. “What you see here at first is a vulnerable young woman, especially on that first cover – but this is Greg Rucka, so obviously there’s a lot more to her. All I can say is, she’s not what you expect, and it’s an honor to add a creator-owned book from Greg to our roster.”
The first issue of “Veil” debuts, in print and digitally on Dark Horse’s app, on March 5.
