In the third season of A&E's "Bates Motel," Norman (Freddie Highmore) is caught between his murderous urges and his forbidden sexual desires, even as his mother Norma (Vera Farmiga) is forced to recognize her son’s troubled mindset.

Two new trailers reveal Norman's descent on the path that leads him to the events of Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho." In the first, a haunting children's song plays over the shot of a dead body and a collection of scenes that hint at Norman's burgeoning madness and Norma's growing frustration with his behavior. The other highlights a conversation between Norman and his mother, where he reveals to her that he believes something is wrong with him, spliced with shots of him caressing his mother's undergarments.

"Bates Motel" reopens March 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on A&E.
