Already seeing her profile rise due to the popularity of series like "Lumberjanes," "Thor Annual" and more, and the addition of Marvel's "Runaways" to her resume, Noelle Stevenson's star has shot into the world of Hollywood with the announcement that the movie rights for her webcomic "Nimona" have been optioned.

The award winning comic is set to be developed by Vertigo Entertainment, according to The Tracking Board. The film will be produced by Vertigo co-founder Roy Lee.

Stevenson exploded onto the webcomics scene with her Tumblr, Ginger Haze where thousands flocked to see her parodies of pop and geek culture and art work. Creating "Nimona" while she was an illustration student in college, Stevenson has a two graphic novel deal with HarperCollins to publish the webcomic. The first hardcover collection was released earlier this month.
