On his Instagram, "X-Men: Apocalypse" director Bryan Singer revealed a first look at Angel in the upcoming film.

Though there is no actor attached to the role at the moment, British actor Ben Hardy was cast in the film last month and is a dead ringer for Warren Worthington III, Angel's civilian identity. In the artwork, the young X-Man looks down at an audience in a grand theater and looks as though he is trapped within a giant bird cage.

This isn't the first time that Singer has revealed concept art for the film via Instagram; last month, he teased what looks to be a giant space ship looming over an ambiguous figure, kicking off speculation that Ship -- an A.I. entity built by the Celestials that helped En Sabah Nur on his path to becoming Apocalypse -- will be in the film.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is scheduled to arrive May 27, 2016.
