HBO has released a promo, featurette and one of the most psychedelic posters of the year for the upcoming release of their new show “Westworld,” which promises to tackle one of the most elusive questions humanity has ever faced: “What really makes us human?”

The first full trailer for “Westworld” was released back in August and let fans know that the show was going to explore the connection between consciousness and sin, but these two new videos do so much more. The promo elaborates upon the trailer’s introduction of two robotic “hosts” in the show. Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Maeve (Thandie Newton) are two robots created to inhabit the artificial ‘Western’ reality created by Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins), and to pander to the whims of the 21st century guests who pay to visit and indulge their most noble and depraved appetites. Until, that is, they become cognoscente of their place in that ‘reality.’

The featurette plays like a show-reel of the most interesting existential questions to be posed by 20th and 21st century thinkers and is a testament to the confidence showrunners Jonathan Nolan (“Interstellar”) and Lisa Joy (“Burn Notice”) have in the show.

The 10-episode season sports a blockbuster-making cast, from Anthony Hopkins (“Hitchcock”) and Ed Harris (“A History Of Violence”) to Tessa Thomson (“Selma”) and Jeffrey Wright (“W”) and it promises to explore the peaks of humanity and the depths of sin.

You can watch the sins unfold on Oct 2 on HBO.
