Traditionally, the first trailer for the next season of "The Walking Dead" is unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con, and 2016 is no different. With the release of a new image featuring Negan surveying his entire roster of captives, including Rick, Glenn, Maggie, Daryl and the rest, AMC has officially announced the date for the Season 7 trailer debut.

The trailer will screen on Friday, July 22 during the show's Hall H presentation, and will appear online shortly thereafter. The image, shared via Facebook and Twitter, also re-confirmed the show's October return. Though the specific date remains a mystery, it should be revealed along with the trailer.

While it's pretty much a guarantee that AMC isn't going to tip its hand as to who Negan kills in the trailer, producer and makeup supervisor Greg Nicotero recently assured fans the wait will be over as soon as the show returns in the fall.

"The Walking Dead" returns to AMC for its seventh season in October.
