As Super Bowl LI looms ever closer, many viewers are gearing up not only for the game itself, but also the advertisements. Deadline reports that trailers for both “Transformers: The Last Knight” and the big-budget movie adaptation of “Ghost in the Shell” will air during Super Bowl 2017 this coming Sunday. The “Transformers” trailer will run during the game, while “Ghost in the Shell” will take a slot prior to kickoff.

Directed by Michael Bay, “Transformers: The Last Knight” sees the return of Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci. The film is a direct sequel to “Transformers: Age of Extinction.” In the prior film, Optimus Prime left Earth to search for the mysterious Creators. In the upcoming film, Optimus has returned to Earth changed, even as a new threat looms.

“Ghost in the Shell” is directed by Rupert Sanders and stars Scarlett Johansson. The film is an adaptation of the seminal 1995 cyberpunk anime in which a cyborg police officer hunts down a serial killer hacker. The film has already drawn attention for casting Johansson as the protagonist while the original protagonist was Japanese and for a marketing stunt that made it look like the finale of the USA network show “Mr. Robot” had been hacked.

“Transformers: The Last Knight” debuts in theaters June 23, 2017. “Ghost in the Shell” premieres March 21, 2017.
