With two weeks to go until the season two premiere of "Supergirl," the CW has released a brand new trailer that gives a closer look at the introduction of the Man of Steel (Tyler Hoechlin). The promotional video was shared from the official "Supergirl" Twitter account.

The video shows Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) brimming with excitement to finally be working side-by-side with her heroic cousin. Supergirl gleefully tells Superman, "I've dreamt of this moment. Both of us teaming up." Supergirl isn't the only cast member to be awe-struck by the Son of Krypton. Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) and Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan) are also shown delivering quick one-liners in regards to Superman.

Even Clark Kent appears to have a fan, as Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) excitedly tells Kara Danvers: "You didn't tell me you knew Clark Kent!" This gets a happy dance out of Cat, which is shocking for Kara to see. This appearance is also visual proof that Flockhart will still have a role to play now that the show has moved from CBS to the CW.

The rest of the trailer shows the super-cousins in action, stopping bullets, beating up bad guys, and even slides in a reference to Batman's home turf. As Superman saves a family on the streets of National City, the father can be heard saying, "We're moving back to Gotham."

"Supergirl" returns for season two on October 10 at 8 PM ET on The CW.
