Director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm have revealed -- via series of mock vintage trading cards published by Entertainment Weekly -- the official character names for several of the new faces that debuted in the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" teaser trailer.

Here's the new info:

The "ball droid," which one fan has already tattooed on his body, is "BB-8."

Oscar Isaac's character, seen in the teaser trailer piloting an X-Wing, is "Poe Dameron."

The mysterious villainous character with the much-debated crossguard lightsaber is "Kylo Ren" (actor still unrevealed).

Daisy Ridley's character, seen on a new take on a speeder in the teaser trailer, is "Rey," with no last name yet revealed.

John Boyega's character is "Finn," also with no last name at this point.

"The Force Awakens" is scheduled for release on Dec. 18, 2015, and stars franchise veterans Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and Warwick Davis, along with newcomers Boyega, Ridley, Isaac, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie.
