When Nathan Fillion appears in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," he'll cameo as a familiar face. Several new photos from set have surfaced on Imgur and confirm he will be Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, in the follow up to Marvel Studios' "Guardians of the Galaxy."

In the photos, Fillion's Simon Williams features on several movie posters, as well as a theater marque that announces a "Simon Williams Film Festival." One of the film posters touts "Arkon," who comics fans will also recognize as a classic Marvel character. Another appears to be a "Tony Stark" bio pic, with Williams posed in a "Steve Jobs"-esque way. Two additional posters pin him as the star of "Haxan 2," which is likely a sequel to the original (and real) 1922 Swedish-Danish silent film, and a romantic comedy titled "Oh, Rebecca!"

In the comics, Williams gained ion powers from Baron Zemo and eventually joined the Avengers as Wonder Man. With superhuman strength, speed, stamina and more, Williams aided the main Avengers team and went on to co-found the West Coast Avengers. He eventually became a successful actor, which is at play in these Easter egg-filled posters. However, it's unclear at this time if Fillion will appear in this role outside of the posters.
