Earlier today, photos emerged of Will Smith on the set of David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" film. Smith appeared in civilian clothes rather than his as yet unseen Deadshot costume, for a scene that involved his character Floyd Lawton's young daughter and some holiday shopping.

Now, a new photo has emerged from the shoot that appears to show the actor -- or perhaps a stunt double -- in his full-on supervillain regalia. Debuting via Sean O'Neill's Twitter feed, the photo is very obviously shot on the same set as earlier pics, and features a fully-armored character leaning nonchalantly against a building.

However, considering that the armor pictured above bears little resemblance to any Deadshot look from the comics (it's even missing the character's trademark eyepiece), the image could be of another unknown character from the film. The uniform actually more closely resembles the armor and color scheme used by DC Comics' Checkmate, a group which has had some ties to the Squad in the comics.

Featuring an ensemble cast that includes Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, "Suicide Squad" arrives in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
