After nearly a year of rumors surrounding their involvement, it was announced last week that both Anya Taylor-Joy and Maisie Williams had officially joined Fox's X-Men spin-off, New Mutants. To express his excitement over the castings, comic book artist extraordinaire Phil Noto took to Twitter to unveil a sketch he'd done of both actresses in their respective roles.

It was previously announced that Taylor-Joy had been cast as Magik, while Williams will play Wolfsbane. They're set to be joined in the film by fellow New Mutants: the Native American Danielle Moonstar, Brazilian ladies man Sunspot and the Kentuckian code-named Cannonball. Also set to join the film is Warlock, the alien being of technological origins.

This isn't the first time we've seen an image of Williams as Rahne. In fact, director Josh Boone famously unveiled a piece of concept art with the actress as the character -- long before she had actually signed on for the gig. For fans eager to see Taylor-Joy's Ilyana, however, Noto's art does an excellent job at creating a vivid idea of how she'll appear once donning the character's New Mutants costume.

New Mutants will be written and directed by Josh Boone, who is perhaps best known for directing The Fault in Our Stars. The film is currently set to hit theaters on April 13, 2018.
