Fox's "Logan" takes a rest stop, and leaves a clue to a potential mystery, in the latest images posted on the film's Instagram account.

The first new photo depicts a gas station along a stretch of highway in the desert, a region similar to that shown in an earlier image of a mysterious fenced-in facility. However, despite sharing similar terrain, the two locations are likely intended to be some distance apart, as the stop sign in this photo is in English, while the warning sign in the previous image was in Spanish.

The second new photo, unveiled just this morning, presumably takes us into the gas station's restroom, where the message "Where Are All the Mutants?" is carved into the partition. Presumably the question isn't merely the X-Men universe equivalent of "Kilroy Was Here," but rather holds some significance -- perhaps even referring to a plot point in the Wolverine film.

While it is uncertain what role the rest stop will play in the movie's narrative, we do know that "Logan" will include a young X-23 played by Sienna Novikov. The film will also feature Boyd Holbrook and Richard E. Grant as the villainous Donald Pierce and Dr. Zander Rice, respectively.

The third solo Wolverine movie will mark Hugh Jackman's final appearance as the fan-favorite character, a role he's played since 2000's "X-Men."

Directed by James Mangold, "Logan" also stars Patrick Stewart and Stephen Merchant. The film opens March 3, 2017.
