Korra, Asami and Republic City are all set to return in a three-part "Legend of Korra" original graphic novel series titled "Turf Wars" from Dark Horse Comics.

The trio of graphic novels are slated for release starting in Summer 2017, and will be set immediately after the end of "The Legend of Korra" anime series.

Announced via Entertainment Weekly, the OGNs' writing duties will be handled by "Legend of Korra" co-creator Michael DiMartino, with art by Irene Koh, whose previous work includes credits for both DC and Marvel.

According to DiMartino, "Turf Wars" will focus on "Korra and Asami's relationship [revealed in the show's final episode] as a new threat emerges. It’s kind of like the aftermath, dealing with the new portal in the city, and all the evacuees coming back to find their homes wiped out cause of the portal."

Dark Horse previously announced its plans for a “Legend of Korra” comic book series at the 2015 Comic Con International in San Diego with Brittney Williams, now best known for her work on Marvel's "Pastsy Walker: Hellcat," as the artist. It seems, however, that those plans have transformed into a graphic novel series instead.

The first graphic novel in the "Legend of Korra: Turf War" series is due to hit comic shops in June 2017.
