After seeing the international TV spot earlier Wednesday, it's safe to safe audiences were excited for the new full-length trailer for “Kong: Skull Island." Well, the time has come, and we can now watch Kong in all his glory.

Despite not seeing much of the legendary ape in the first trailer, this one makes sure to give us plenty of him. Unfortunately for them, King Kong quickly introduces himself by way of killing most of the soldiers.

From there, we meet John C. Reilly’s eccentric character, and quickly learn that while Kong may be the god on the island, there are “devils” that live elsewhere. The film had been teasing that other creatures would exist on the island, and it certainly delivers in the trailer. Throughout the trailer, we’re treated to various shots of the "Skullcrawlers," as Reilly's character calls them for no discernible reason, which look to be giant reptilian monsters. Also shown briefly are other gigantic animals, ranging from buffalo-looking creatures and spiders to whatever that thing was at the 2:12 mark.

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, “Kong: Skull Island” promises to give us the biggest version of the ape that we’ve seen in any movie Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. are planning to have this new version of King Kong duke it out against Godzilla sometime in 2020, so it makes sense that the studio decided to make King Kong a bit bigger for this go around, and also give him a bit of origin story.
