Can you hear the familiar "ki-ki-ki, ma-ma-ma" soundtrack playing in the background? If so, it's because another Friday the 13th film is in the works. Earlier this year, Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. made a deal that resulted in the Jason Voorhees franchise heading to the former in exchange for its stake in Christopher Nolan's Interstellar.

It was presumed at the time that production would begin fairly soon on the 13th entry of the horror franchise, and now a tweet from @ERCboxoffice confirms that, with Paramount setting a March 13, 2015 release date. The brief message also let the world know this won't be a sequel to the 2009 reboot, but instead "another reboot entirely."

Word has been circulating that the studio wants the new film to involve found footage, a la the lucrative Paranormal Activity series. It also seems likely Paramount will go the micro-budget route taken by Blumhouse on films like Insidious and Sinister, which wouldn't exactly be a stretch for a franchise.
