A super-smart, telepathic gorilla isn't necessarily a natural choice for network TV, but "The Flash" has teased the arrival of DC Comics supervillain Gorilla Grodd since its pilot, with increasingly revealing glimpses of the character in subsequent episodes. It looks like Grodd is finally set to truly rattle some cages, with a new promo on Entertainment Weekly warning that "Grodd is Coming" -- exactly when is not yet revealed, but presumably soon.

Dialogue in the clip -- "the voice that's in my head" -- hints that the TV Grodd has the psychic powers of his comic book predecessor. The character was created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino, and first seen in 1959's "The Flash" #106.

The teaser also contained a close-up -- albeit fleeting -- look at Grodd's face:

"The Flash" airs 8 p.m. Tuesdays on The CW.
