"Dark Knight" mastermind Frank Miller is represented by this image, said to be "the basis" for a 1 in 100 variant cover for issue #2:

Eduardo Risso, who famously collaborated with "Dark Knight III" co-writer Brian Azzarello on Vertigo hit "100 Bullets," illustrated the "Dark Knight Universe Presents" mini-comic, starring Wonder Woman, in "Dark Knight III" #2. Finally, artist Cliff Chiang, who worked with Azzarello on "Wonder Woman," has illustrated a "Dark Knight III: The Master Race" #2 1 in 10 variant cover, an homage to "Dark Knight Returns" featuring Batman and Carrie Kelley.
