Teasing the arrival later today of the new Avengers trailer, Entertainment Tonight went behind the scenes of the hotly anticipated Marvel film for an all-too-brief chat with stars Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson, and a sneak peek at new footage.
And in a well-timed article, Entertainment Weekly turns to the actors themselves for some insight into their characters.
“I’m on such the periphery,” two-time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner says of Hawkeye. “By nature of being a sniper on top of a building, the behavior of a sniper is a loner. He gets a call and comes and does his thing.”
“The Widow has no time for romance,” Johansson reveals. “She’s a lover of all things. She has a love/hate relationship with I think everyone she meets in some way,”
Directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers also stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders and Stellan Skarsgård. It opens May 4.
