Since his debut in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s" season four premiere, fans have been waiting to learn more about the "deal with the devil" that Robbie Reyes made that transformed him into Ghost Rider. Now the time has come for that story to be told, and the time is tonight.

As revealed in the episode's synopsis and this sneak peek, tonight's episode will go back a bit in time to show how Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) became Ghost Rider. This new scene shows Robbie and his little brother Gabe, presumably on the night that their lives changed forever. The scene even teases a street race, which fans of the "All-New Ghost Rider" comic know was an integral part of this Ghost Rider's origin.

Episode 4.06 – The Good Samaritan

The shocking origin story of Robbie’s transition into Ghost Rider is revealed as the lives of Coulson and the team hang in the balance.

The latest in a long line of Ghost Riders, the comic book version of Robbie Reyes debuted in 2014’s “All-New Ghost Rider” #1. Created by Felipe Smith and Tradd Moore, the character changed things up for the classic hero; instead of a flaming motorcycle, the vigilante instead drove a hell-ified 1969 Dodge Charger. In the comics, Robbie became the Ghost Rider after a street race took a deadly turn where Reyes was mercilessly gunned down and resurrected by the Spirit of Vengeance. Fans will have to wait until November 1 to see if that origin story will play out on screen, or if the “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” writers have a new tale in mind for Robbie.

Airing Tuesdays at 10 pm ET/PT on ABC, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Chloe Bennet as Daisy "Quake" Johnson, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie and more.
